hello fellow tribesters. My name is Erik, I live in San Francisco and have been a tribe member for a long time now. It's great to see how big Tribe has gotten in other cities.
Anyways, here is my pitch. I am in the process of creating a list of all the neighborhoods in major cities around the country where bars/clubs/music venues and hip restaurants tend to be for a listing service on the web. For example, San Francisco has SOMA which is known as a place for lots of clubs and bars... You get the idea. What I am hoping I can get from you kind folks is some feedback on popular neighborhoods in your city. Short and sweet is perfectly fine, details are good too. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have questions. If you help me out with this, I promise I will hook you up when you travel to SF... I'll hook you up anyways come to think of it.
Thanks in Advance,
Erik

    Main areas:
Lower Greenville- pretty cool during the week, a bit too frat-like on the weekends, mix of bars/clubs and restaurants
Deep Ellum- used to be the old school punk area, there's still a bit of that feel, but for the most part, it's really a large mix of interests and people, bars/clubs and restaurants
Fair Park- lots o' really cool dive kind of bars
West End- big tourist spot, frequented by locals as well, mix of clubs/bars and restaurants
Oak Lawn- lots of great bars/clubs and restaurants, more of an alternative type crowd
Lakewood- general mix of bars and restaurants
Addison- mix of bars and restaurants, some casual and fun, alot are a bit pretentious ($$$)
    Uptown- see Addison
    Knox/Henderson- see Uptown

Those are the main ones I can think of at the moment. If you want more detail, let me know.

Don't forget Mockingbird Station (some call this "midtown") and West Village - basically multi use (residential/commercial/entertainment) complexes that have only been around for 5 years or less.
